Blanchard Starts at the Heart of Leadership to Turn Potential Into Performance

Blanchard starts at the heart of leadership, helping leaders view every exchange as an opportunity to foster trust and deepen relationships. We originate dynamic, human-powered learning experiences that enable leaders at all levels to turn potential into performance. These inspired leaders become the ultimate agents of progress and transformation for their people, work, and organizations.

Developing tomorrow’s leaders, today

Drs. Ken and Marjorie Blanchard founded The Ken Blanchard Companies in 1979 with three simple goals—to make a difference in people’s lives, drive human worth and effectiveness in the workplace, and help each organization we work with become the provider, employer, and investment of choice.

Elevating the Practice of Talent Development

Bellevue University’s Human Capital Lab is a virtual community of human capital practitioners and scholars. Our goal is to advance the practice of human capital management, with a focus on four areas: 1) talent development (what we used to call human resource development and, before that, training), 2) human capital management (what we used to call HR and, before that, personnel), 3) leadership (both strategic and interpersonal leadership), and 4) distance education (because it’s not just the subject, it’s also the delivery of it).

To achieve our mission, we’re forming Communities of Practice across industries to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing. We’re also pairing our university’s doctoral students—who are accomplished, mid-career practitioners—with employers who have research opportunities for them to complete as part of their dissertations. And, through our award-winning podcast, we’re interviewing business, organization and  business leaders to uncover insights about the impact of learning on talent development.

There is no fee for individuals or  organizations to participate in the Human Capital Lab. The capital we exchange is the knowledge and experiences we share with each other. As a community, we all benefit from everyone’s contributions, small and large alike.
